The Costa Rica Tourism Board (ICT) in conjunction with the Costa Rican Coalition of Development Initiatives (CINDE) will promote for this year 2007 a tourist investment portfolio. At least 400 investors are expected to be present during this activity, to discuss and analyze topics related to the conditions of the country, legislation, challenges faced by the tourist sector, among other topics. “We are promoting investments that will be effective for the economic sustainability of the sector. This second portfolio is a very good opportunity to achieve an integrated effort between the private and public industry, sponsored by CINDE. Moreover, KPMG is acting as a consultant along with the participation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other local organizations such as ACOPROT and CANATUR,” stated Allan Flores, Manager of the Costa Rica Tourism Board.
