TACA WILL RESTORE DIRECT FLIGHTS FROM COSTA RICA TO CUBA |
The Central American Airline TACA informed that it will offer again direct flights between Costa Rica and Cuba, starting February 2nd. This flight will replace the actual route to La Havana from El Salvador, stated the company in a press release. The flight will have duration of 2 hours and 20 minutes and will operate on Wednesday, Friday, and Sundays, round trip. The planes will depart from the Juan Santamaría Airport at 10:45am to land in the Jose Martí Airport in La Havana at 2:00pm, local time. The return flight will leave al 3:20pm and will arrive at 4:40pm after travelling the 1.500 kilometers that separate both countries. The route will be operated by Airbus planes A-320 with seats for 150 passengers: 12 in business class and the rest in economy class. The rate in economy class will be $329 and in business class $751, both with taxes, according to the airline Web site on the Internet: www.taca.com. The flight will also have connections to El Salvador, Guatemala, and México. Currently, according to the same Web site, a flight to El Salvador takes 4 hours and 30 minutes and costs $465 in economy class and $751 in business class. TACA indicated in its press release that it intends to reinforce its presence in the Caribbean. |
