A true fishing story (Not a story from internet)"I have heard a few fishing stories and have lived a few myself in my days in Costa Rica and other parts of the world but this tops them all. My neighbor on the project began telling me this story with the twist that he, his son, and grandchild went fishing here in Carrillo with Danilo’s “Panga” which is a narrow 18’ boat. The neighbor “Dylan” said to the skipper to go far where the fish are and it was a light day after catching a few small tunas "Dylan" said that the best way to entice a catch would be to have a beer. By then they where 17 miles out to sea, not advisable with a small boat. "Dylan" said that what saved them was the extra motor. This where I was led astray trying to anticipate the story punch line, I had figured far out /the extra motor, they had engine problem? Well as soon as he had that beer they hooked a large marlin. "Dylan" gave the rod to his son saying that he had had many fights so he was glad to have Dale, his son fight this one. As some of you know marlin is pound by pound the most ferocious fish in the ocean. It took about 1 ½ hours fight to bring the monster near the small boat. The skipper ill preparer for the big catch, this done normally with special gloves so that the bill does not slip, he used his t-shirt to try to hold the marlin’s bill so that they could unhook it, since it would take a crane to bring the 400 pound marlin into the boat, plus it’s a game fish so catch and release is the norm here in Costa Rica.Well just moments before the event the crew had exchanged location with the grandchild and the spare motor, I guess to have more space to maneuver (still can’t imagine 4 people plus what come in next in a small boat). Well after a few approaches to the boat and trying in vain to control the catch, this 400lbs marlin actually leaped into the air and crashed into the boat landing where the grandchild was moments ago. In the process the fall broke the skipper chair and as you can imagine the pandemonium that a large LIVE fish in a small boat with four people could generate. In the scramble Dale the fisherman was belted to sea by the marlin’s large tail. It’s hard not to laugh at this near catastrophic situation where many fishermen have been gored by game fish in this similar scenario, to picture that the fisherman, Dale is now in the Pacific Ocean but still holding on to the fishing road while the prized catch is already in the boat. Basically they switched placed unwillingly. Dale got pretty bruised up but I know that he does not mind that in exchange for lifetime catch. Of course they could not get the fish out of the boat now without capsizing the small vessel so all shaken and bruised they made it back to port with the proof of an incredible story. Listen whether you are a fisherman or not this a story to tell your grandchildren" (Sam-reporting live from Costa Rica)

"Our client´s are part of Costa Rica: "There are no words to say what Costa Rica means to me; from the first time ,1991, when we left and the pilot banked steeply to head North and we circled San Jose and the mountain bow it sits in, tears were streaming down my face, silently. I will always come back" I said , I don't know, but I'm coming back to this country..." (C.C. Pensacola, Florida)
